How to build your own HDTV PVR - MythTV

Want to control your TV viewing? Don’t want to let TV Broadcasters prevent you from fast forwarding through commercials? Do ya?

Take control of your viewing habits (or just read -a great alternative, by the way). Build your own PVR and watch when you want and how you want.

This is a very detailed method of building your own PC based PRV. Not for the faint of heart, but very do-able.

Wikipedia
“Wikipedia
is a Web-based free content encyclopedia designed to be read and edited by anyone, with editions of varying sizes in 190 languages. 16,000 registered users collaboratively edit and maintain the English edition Wikipedia, which has allowed it in less than four years of operation to become the world’s largest encyclopedia, containing 460,000 articles (growing 3000 per day) and 77 million words. In all language editions combined, Wikipedia contains over 1.3 million articles.” (From the website)

I love this site. Check it out if you want to inform yourself!

Recipes at Food Down Under Recipe Database

I got this from my brother Larry - the gourmand of my siblings. I had sent him a link to a new site: Wikipes.com which is a fledgling database of recipes. He replied “I tried the site with “runzas” and “risotto” and got zip.” and gave me the Food Down Under site, which is his current favorite recipe site. He thinks they have over 260000 recipes. That’s a lifetime without repeating! Enjoy.
